Nigerian Youth AMR Community of Practice
Building a stronger youth voice in Nigeria’s response to antimicrobial resistance.
The Nigerian Youth AMR Community of Practice (Youth AMR CoP) is a national platform established to showcase and support the work of Nigerian young people contributing to the fight against antimicrobial resistance across the One Health spectrum. The Youth AMR CoP operates as a subcommittee of the national One Health AMR/AMU Community of Practice, coordinated by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC).
Why Youth AMR CoP?
Young people are already contributing to antimicrobial resistance awareness, research, advocacy and capacity building across Nigeria. The Youth AMR CoP provides a platform to connect these efforts, strengthen capacity, foster collaboration and create pathways for meaningful youth participation in Nigeria’s AMR response.

Through the Ducit Blue Foundation AMR & One Health Knowledge Exchange Series 3.0, the Nigerian Youth AMR Community of Practice brought young professionals and AMR advocates together to learn about the Community of Practice, explore opportunities for engagement, and strengthen their understanding of how young people can contribute to Nigeria’s AMR response.
